About The IDSL

The Inter-Dojo Shotokan League (IDSL) is an annual tournament for brown and black belt competitors that takes place over several dates throughout the year, and is open to all Shotokan Karate organizations in Manitoba.

IDSL Season & Events

The IDSL season is similar to a season of soccer or hockey and consists of league matches that start in January and end in November of each year.

Competition days are to be held on the last Saturday of the month at a host dojo. Points are tracked throughout the season, and at the end of the year awards are given to the top three competitors in each category.

The IDSL is a fun way for participants to maintain their competitive edge throughout the year. It is also a great way for judges-in-training to improve their skills and gain confidence in their judging ability.
