Advanced Shotokan Kata
THE LAST dedicated kata classes before the summer schedule kicks in…
This Wednesday (June 27) 7-8pm advanced kata class is for brown & black belts who are interested in practicing kata beyond the Heians.
This is an all-ages class, so as long as you’ve got your brown belt you’re welcome to come on out.
Since this is a class focused on advanced kata, students new to the patterns are encouraged to do their best to keep up, practice at home and between classes for next time, and do their best. There will be little pausing between kata, and many new and confusing techniques to learn.
Students familiar with the advanced kata are encouraged to bring their questions to the class – this is a perfect time to be sure you understand the application of the techniques you’re executing!
Remember: Charleswood Karate is closed and all classes are cancelled for Saturday June 30 and Monday, July 2, 2012. Have a great long weekend!

Sempai Jill Lampi holds the rank of Nidan and started her training in 1991. Sempai Jill joined Charleswood Karate in 2011 and trains, teaches, competes, takes pictures and videos, and manages Charleswood's social media profiles, as well as running a personal site dedicated to Shotokan karate.
