Brown and black belts – here’s an opportunity to attack your friends with old-fashioned weapons!

Er, I mean “here’s an opportunity to get some intro instruction on how other styles make use of the bo, sai and tonfa Okinawan weapons in their training”.

Get A Taste Of Matayoshi Kobudo

Matayoshi kobudo are “an eclectic mix of armed civil fighting techniques that compliment the Okinawan karate systems“.  During these three intro-level seminars on August 1, 2 and 3 from 7-9pm each night, three weapons will be covered:  The (6-foot) bo, the sai, and the tonfa (shown below, in order).

Seminar With Winnipeg Eishin Ryu Iaido Kai

Sensei Ron invites brown and black belts from Charleswood to join Winnipeg Eishin Ryu Iaido Kai’s Matayoshi kobudo serminar, where you’ll learn the basics of Okinawan Weapons training.
