Sensei Ryan Porath began training in February 1987 at the age of 8 years old, along with his younger brother, Sensei Scott. Since then, he has attended an abundance of seminars and camps, and has had the benefit of learning from many Shotokan Masters.
Sensei Ryan has competed provincially, nationally, and internationally. He currently holds the rank of Godan (5th level black belt).
Sensei Ryan started assistant teaching in the early 1990′s, and began teaching regularly by the age of 16 to both the adult and children’s classes.
Sensei Ryan is a full-time Electrician and can be found around the dojo with his son Dorion who has started to train as well!
