Tournaments for ages 6 to 45
compete in local, Canadian and international tournaments with opportunity to represent Manitoba and Canada at international events. International Karate Daigaku (www.internationalkaratedaigaku.com) PAN AM and world events, Karate Canada (www.nka.ca) national and World Karate Federation (www.wkf.net) world events.
Tournaments are not compulsory but are a very good way to develop both skills and spirit. Students are encouraged to compete at least once. Charleswood Karate students can compete in local, national & international IKD tournaments and as a member of Karate Manitoba there are a number of different local events as well as national and international tournaments that people can compete in. Sensei Ron Porath is a coach of the Karate Manitoba team and holds special training for those who wish to compete seriously. As well, Charleswood Karate holds competition classes on scheduled Wednesdays and Sundays to help prepare for tournaments.
